T. J. Whitney's Traditional Toys

Janice Prittie founded T. J. Whitneys’ Traditional Toys in 1999. The company was named after her maternal grandmother, Theos Juliet Whitney, and the toys were inspired by the tattered remains of her 1920’s toys and children's books.

T. J. Whitneys’ Traditional Toys have been awarded by Parent Magazine, Today’s Parent Magazine, The Institute for Childhood Resources, Dr. Toy, Creative Child Magazine and The Manufacturers Award of Excellence.
